Design & Site Plan

Test Holes and Perc Tests

Dan A. Speakman will schedule an appointment with the local health department and Dig Safe to conduct the appropriate test holes and perc tests on your property. Our backhoe will be used to dig the test hole to a minimum depth of 10'. During the test hole our engineer will evaluate the soil and perform a perc test to let us know how readily the soil will accept the proposed effluent.

Field Detail and Topographical Survey

Our professional survey crew will conduct a survey locating the house, road, driveway and all pertinent features of your property, including topography. This will also include a walk through of your home for sketching the room layout as a residential septic design is based on the number of bedrooms. We will also check the location, elevation, and number of sewer outlet pipes going through the foundation walls. The water service will also need to be located.

Site Plan

When all of the above is completed, we will draw up a site plan showing the most practical and economical design utilizing available space and approach path for our heavy equipment to install your new system.
